was reading the story below, on a certain website...
SB got baited by an audience member...
i know everyone that knows of her 'abilities' has wished they could or see someone do this to SB....

this person actually did it on TV...

well, as a psychic myself, I hope that I am never 'tested' this way, but I have to say, that even if I were 'baited' I believe i would pass the test.

I sometimes am asked to bring through a deceased member of the family/friend of my client and sometimes I am not able to make contact. it does make me feel uneasy, but I realize that I am not always able to do so and this in no way reflects on my credibility with my abilities. even so, when I cannot make 'contact', I let my client know and I apologize for any inconvenience it may cause them.

Sometimes spirits do not want to come forward to us mediums. as a medium, we don't have ALL the answers and so, at times we cannot give our client what the want to hear. this doesn't make us 'bad psychic mediums' at all, though I'd bet that 98% of the clients who do not get a reading would say otherwise.

Now, all that said, I will admit that I am also NOT impressed with Sylvia at all. I saw early on that she was very much a 'general' reader, and says things that perhaps 50% of the audience could identify with. I have never had a reading by her though, but from what I can 'see' in her, I think she is 100% a faker.

this is MY opinion...right or wrong.

I agree Celtic Noodle instead of being a fraud and making something up, tell the person the deceased person is not coming through.
and explain why!! if you sensitively can.

I have had one deceased person not want to speak to the client, How do you say that when its the clients mother.
The clients mother had nothing nice to say so she clamped up.
I would rather go away from a client with them thinking the worst of me, than lying to look good.
The Client mentioned has come back.

SB I think gives genuine psychic's a good reputation, overall, people get to see both sides of the coin.
Unfortunatley some people lump us all together and see SB as "all" psychics.
Which is sad for them.

Psychic Baiting is not a nice experience to go through. But i have had sceptics test me, and try to bait me, It happens all the time.
I have passed every single test so far and turned devout sceptics into believers and at the very least question their beliefs.
NOt saying i am always bang on, Sometime i dont understand the message and find it hard to put in words, those times the reading and information can be a little dodgy. But i do let the client Know exactly how i am feeling, what images i am getting if any, words etc etc.. 9/10 the client knows what the message is.
Soemtime spirit doesnt want to speak in the language i understand they want to speak in theirs, which makes a reading harder to give.. But it does happen and its ok, Normally we get to the core of it all.
I work with images and feelings and a knowing. Sometimes audio.. I wish i got audio more often it is so much easier to work with.. But a spirit may want to change all that and work with me in different ways..like a cryptic crossword puzzle.. But i am continuously in communications with my client about every single thing that i am getting, it is not up to me to interpret the reading that is the clients job.

SB sits smuggly and thinks she knows it all and has it down pat. This is where she is going wrong.
its not as simple as that, I wish it was. It is an ever chagning, ever learning thing to do..
every single spirit connection gives new insight as a medium. every single expereince changes our perception and view on being a medium. we are forever humbled, honoured and grateful we can help both sides heal old and new wounds alike. give understanding about compassion and Love, giving people insight to unaswered questions at times.
SB has lost sight of that, her Compassion and Love for humanity have gone from the work of a Medium, it is all about Ego and how she looks. Because that has happened her gift is non existent. She has books with fancy words that sound all good , some debateble . But i have never seen her walk her talk. I have never seen her compassionate, understand, Loving and gentle with clients.
She has always sat smuggly, answered abruptly, often at times very rudely to those who seek healing.
she laughs at otehrs expense, commenting on their views or what they have said, laughing off who they are and their understanding in a condasending way.
Unfortunatly as much as I Love Gordon Smith as a Medium, He also has worked with SB and quite likes her.
That mere fact has also put me off of him too in a way.
I do still like his CD set. But i dont follow him as i use to .

I think Psychic Baiting can be a good thing for the Client, they need to know who they are dealing with..
any genuine Medium wouldnt have to worry, as they would pass the test.

I certainly would not hire a contractor unless i have tested his abilities through word of mouth and researched what i need to be done first, and i need to know the person i am hiring knows what they are talking about.
The same goes for psychics.. I think Clietns have every single right to test them.

think SB is as phony as a 3 dollar bill...more i read about her on that site...
and as a writer, she takes from others to fit in her non-fiction books...
who knows where the automatic writing comes from then in the others Rolling Eyes

Paul in the Bible says to prove all things, that's what i do...if you don't prove yerself real from
the start, you should be tested...I don't think one good 'control' question is is off-base...
like at AT and the Compass, i asked a couple of questions i knew the answer to already,
and it proved itself...

a good example of proving yerself as real from the start....
hope you didn't mind i posted about it, DB

when DB did the past life reading for me and the rocker...i told her nearly nothing, she didn't know
me at all yet, and what she saw was spot on...this man, i only gave her his initials, was a soulmate as i
felt he was...
only problem, i shoulda listened to DB, when she told me not to tell him that Embarassed
