this friday's massacre in Aurora Colorado sparked new debate for
stricter gun laws....here it's left to each state as to what is allowed
and was is illegal...it should be across the board, federal laws, as far as
usage, type of guns, type of licenses, number of guns, etc...sadly it
isn't, with about 28 of 50 states and their 'stand yer ground' laws...which
even vary with each state...
BUT there's a huge terrible alternative if these insane/evil/misguided
people can't get guns if the laws were changed...EXPLOSIVES...
as with 9/11, Oklahoma City, suicide bombers, and even with what they
found in Holmes' apartment..
people online and on tv make excuses as to these acts, but did
Cain have video games, movies, and tv??
since Eve and Adam got chased out of Eden, from our Creator,we got free will....
some people will always follow their violent nature....it is up to us who
chose to control our animal-ness, to watch for these people....try to be there before all hell breaks loose if at all possible....
there is so much mental illness going unchecked or undiagnosed...neighbors
ignoring neighbors...kids sliding thru school and life til they snap....
sure it may cost society money, but in the long run it will save people too...
our state legislators have to see this, have to hear this from their
constituents....better mental health care and better schools outweight stricter
gun laws....
a lot of our songs in the 60's and 70's were about love and peace and
the family of man....society has lost sight and forgotten the sentiments....
after 9/11, the authorities here in the states pleaded with everyone to be more vigilant, with the simple but pertinent saying,
"see something, say something"....we should never forget that either...
