my outlaws are of Finnish descent, my late D-I-L come over the
Pond when he was 8 years old...wore the purple in his honor....
my stepdad was Irish/Scottish on his mom's side....wearing the green in his honor...
kinda hard to remember, since i have austria,prussian, bohemian, polish ancestry...

Mostly Irish--as my mothers side is full Irish. My dads side is the mixed bag. 
the hubby is also a mixed bag of stuff, but that's okay, we'll celebrate with all the holidays!
