Sick Laptop

Just wanted to let you all know that MY laptop died again. I can't even get it to start up now so waiting for my brother inlaw to look at it for me. So in the meantime I'm on the other laptop and for some reason I can't get the chat window to load. Says window has blocked it as the publisher is unknown. when I sort all this out I should be back.

sounds like the laptop you are using uses Vista..
Vista blocks all active x and java.. unless you configure it yourself.. which is a pain in the arse.. it took me ages to figure out my husbands laptop as he runs vista on his...
I think you have to go into your security settings and add java to your friendly list...You also have an area in control panel that also governs your security.. in the area of blocked websites you cna also allow Java..
and or lower your security slightly. to med instead of high settings.. jsut for the circles.. you should be safe on my website.. I have had it scanned by by host.. and also upped the anti for any viruses or scams..

I have no idea why they thought it was a good idea to block active x and java.. on Vista, as most websites and forums use it now.. and it can be rather painful,

Just a heads up if anyone is having a similar problem with vista and the chat window, go to www.java.com and download java and you "shouldn't" have anymore trouble.... worked for the family laptop.
