| Just loved this, had to share with you!
You know you're Australian when... you can decipher "yeah nah", your mates are shazza, dazza an cazza, going down to see acca dacca, and gettin maccas in your trackie dacks. You once lived in oona woop woop, your mate's commodore died in the arse and you understand no wukkin furries is a good thing!

| LOL! its real common Aussie slang !! I just loved it!! It really sums up a lot of the language here. Real Common LOL!!
I say Oona Woop woop often Myself LOL! or "out woop woop" which means "country or outback"
we dont actually say commodore , we say in this house commo.. which is a brand of car. we have one LOL! and a rargo LOL! ("commo is a make of Holden) Im not over keen on maccas nor acca dacca, Hubby loves acca dacca. But i do love me trackie Dacks
One of my friends continuously says Yeah nah LOL!
Here in queensland its yeah butt! or " you know ay"
And "no wukkin furries " I have never got used to , but hubby often says it! LOL!

translate ?! LOL! Its so funny because it is really common aussie slang. or twang LOL! Maccas, is mainly Mcdonalds, fast food chain.. But many use it to describe any burger fast food place just out of lazyness. acca dacca..is the heavy rock bang ACDC.. and trackie dacks .. are hard to describe really, obviously clothing.. but clothing you wouldnt dare wear outside in public LOL! They are very sloppy fleece lined jumper and matching ( Or not) Pants. dead daggy really, but we all love being a dag at times. it is a cotton blend material that is fleeecy lined. Keeps you dead warm in winter.. But we dont expereince the cold you get , so maybe they wouldnt be any good without your thermals. I reckon i could come up with loads more aussie slang words.. we substitute so many words for our own. the Queens english has gone out the windyman. (window) Bugger here means oops!! LOL!
