Just wanted to say hello

Hello all!

I have to say, I have been attracted to this place for a while now, but I only now decided to join, and even then it took me a while to get up and running (the buttons for posting / changing stuff in the profile and so, are dark brown, and I cannot read what they say - or were we supposed to "know"? - is there a way to change the appearance of the forum colours?)

Anyway, some of you may already know me, albeit not under this name. Hiding behind the name is Simone

So, I'm waving hello and i hope we get to know each other!

(I just might drop in on one of the circles one of these days, I just can't promise when!)

OOPs to answer your question about the dark bits..
Unfortunately I have enquired about that and those bits i cannot change
And it is frustrating..
I am still on the look out for a different forum colours and layout..
I do my own banners so i need to get one that matches..

Maybe we could have a forum Poll.. and see what colour people would prefer to see in here.. At least that would give me an idea to go from.

and also this forum company do not give the option of different skins Unless i missed it.. I will go check.

I have noticed that the circle times are at times where I'll often be away to teach (my time zone = the London one, +1 hour) - and lots of people take classes during lunch hours)

So I will try to be there once in a while, and might manage the next few weeks, but as soon as classes resume, it will be iffy again

Thanks for the poll on the colours - that's not what I meant though. Some forums have options for the users so they can view the forum in their favourite, um, skin, I suppose? and my question was more wondering about that than wanting you to change it all!

I actually do like the brown, but if there is an option to clear up the buttons so one can see the writing in them (or make the writing white or something), that would be great!

Yes i do get what you mean about the forum skins, Proboards i know do give you the option, But this forumotion doesnt for some reason., I have tried to change those dark buttons, but unfortunately I cant.. I have tried everything. Its time for a change anyway i think

I am hearing you with the study schedule. Mine is absolutely full on over the next few weeks, 6 for that matter, 6 assessments to do in that time.. which is full on. especially when i am behind by about 2 weeks study.. had school holidays here for the kids and hubby.. so study time went out the window LOL!
any time you can make it to the circles , its all good.. we all dont make it every week either. Life happens.
