My computer has had 2 deadly highly serious worms and a trojan in the past 2 months..
Both of them i have no idea where they came from..
Mind you a few people have used my computer and i have no idea where they visited. The last one was pretty serious, to the extent i couldnt turn pc on!!
All fixed now and good virus protection installed..
And NO-ONE is allowed to use my computer anymore!!

I have been reading about this internet copyright move..
Which i think is silly..
If people are going to steal intellectual works, they will find a way.. with or without this law put into place.. with or without the internet.
What about the countries who dont recognise these laws..
There are plenty of countries out there..
When i was going to Uni as an Art student.. I worked as a Legal secretary for Artists.. Performing and visual.. The cases put forwards to lawyers was mainly about works being stolen. and the advice on how to prove it was your work in the first place, etc etc etc.. This was nearly every single case.
And the Internet did not exist!! Shows how old I am getting LOL!!
The internet is just another way to steal other peoples work..
But if we dont post up our work on the internet then it cant be stolen.
Or Just use watermarks, and find out about copyright laws..and put in place everything you can to protect your work.. you do have some clout as well if you use the copyright symbol. This is all you can do, and have been able to do.. prior to Internet and still is all you can do..
I have just finished a course in copyright laws for my job as a civil celebrant.
It covers laws worldwide. as not all works are written in Australia..so we need to know the laws all over.
These laws extend to the internet. So what i am not getting is why do they need this new Bill..
It means those innocent bloggers who post a tarot card or two can be shut down.. Tarot card creators dont mind an odd card or two being shared on the net.. as i dont mind the odd painting shared..
As long as it is not passed off as someone elses work, I am all good..
I was talking to a Tarot card creator not long ago, and he was saying people actually buy his decks.. copy them and then sell them..
That is breaking copyright law.. and these people are not using the internet..
There is a thing called fair use..as long as you are not making money or costing the owner of the material money. it is fair use. it goes into a bit more detail than that..nut you get the gist.

I know many people download free music, Movies , etc etc..
But they are at high risk of viruses.. Even in sites that claim they are safe..
I know a friend of mine downloaded a song and downloaded a trojan at the same time.. On a site they paid for..
It is not illegal to have a digital backup copy of a movie.. So long as you bought the movie..
as most dvd's do get scratched.. so digital makes sense.. No risk of getting a virus.. what if you back up a movie and then decided a few months down the track you really don't want to movie.. get rid of it to a friend who would like it.. but you keep the digital copy.. You did buy it after all?? What about legitimate sites who sell digital copies of movies and music.. the money goes to the right people, but you dont have a hard copy.. You just bought the digital copy? I think they are reallly going to have their work cut out for them!!
Itunes is good but only gives you a mpeg4 digital copy.. some people are NOT up to date with technology and need mp3 or avi copies.. If they are going to proceed with this new law , they need to come up with ways , that it is cheap enough for people to pay, legitimate ways.. and the files come in various formats..
We cannot afford to take the family to the movies.. it costs us $60 just to enter the cinemas , thats not with drinks or food. SO We buy our Movies when they come out on DVD or hire them.. and we make digital copies, with a house full of kids it is safer, for the dvd's sake LOL!!

As far as that website is concerned. does every link lead to a virus Am?

we shut down our internet yesterday and modems.. as we spotted a hacker in the game husband plays.
I am just fed up of having to get my computer fixed these days, because hackers and viruses.. I thought i had good internet security..

Norton they can get through.. Macafee is hopeless.. got 3 virues using that one.
Microsoft security essentials.. is not too bad.. and i am trying out one called trend..using Google chrome as that is suppose to be more secure..
Where there is a will there is a way though huh?

Some Hackers suck!! Why do they want to put viruses in our computers? for what purpose.. do they gain from it?
I know a lot want all our banking details.., Its all about Money!! again!!
