| I am also Loving it too CelticNoodle..
I was using a different book site.. Which isn't too bad either.. called Kobo I use it on my phone. Its easy to use and saves your page..
So i now have 2 sites i can go to compare prices and use the best one at the time. Both are doing the same job.. The library looks different in both. Kobo have actually gone to the trouble to give a look of book shelves and when you purchase a book it gets put onto book shelf for you..
Kindle app is still good, it has thumbnail images of the book cover. and tells you when purchased..
If you are reading a book in Kobo, They Still leave it on the shelf for you, and highlight around the book in green, should you choose to continue reading it starts where you left off..
Whereas Kindle , the book you are reading disappears out of the list and goes into another area where all the book you are reading goes. Which after using Kobo first is a bit confusing.. But once i get use to it i am sure i will be fine LOL!!

| oh yes. my nook has a bookshelf too. It will also save the page you were on when you closed the book. a little 'bookmark' appears. I love the nook. It has a back light also, and so you can read in the dark, but you can also make the background dark and the words on the page in white, so that the light doesn't bother anyone else who may be trying to sleep. I can also get on the internet with it, but, keyboard is teeny, and so I try not to have to use it for that. I also have a lot of games on i t, which I play often. Its just a cool device. I do like the kindles too, but don't own one. I'm thinking of buying it for our niece for Christmas this year. She is a big reader, and we wanted to buy it for her last year but her parents said no. This year, I think we'll just do it and not ask. The cool thing is that you can also (as you know) get books from your library on it. Right now, at age 12 (she'll be 13 in June), she has to rely on her mom and dad to take her to the library or book store. with this, she could go to the library on her own. I think it'll be a big hit with her. So, have you found any other interesting 'divination' books for it? | |

| OK I have just purchased a Kobo touch Glo.. which enables me to read at night too without the glare that wakes other half up, . I am use to Kobo through my phone. and only read at night. so needed an ereader i could read at night with. it also had to have a glare adjustment thingy.. so hubby doesnt wake up thinking light is on LOL!! The reason i got a Kobo over Kindle.. is 1, Price and 2 Kobo along with many other stores that offer books Including my favourite the book depository, use the epub format. which means i can also access library books from my local library. whereas Kindle only use the one format of ebook..not compatible to read with any other.. One day they will join forces and it wont matter what we use as an ereader, we can purchase books from anywhere and read them on anything.. at the moment i think they still think they need to monopolise certain stores, to make their money. But i am still gong to use Kindle on my phone. so still be able to share and read amazon Kindle books. So having the best of both world is the way to go. When my Kobo arrives I will also share some stores with books that are compatible with that too. all of the above are for Kindle..or a Kindle app.. wonder whether we can download app on the Kobo??? Hmm might try it | |
